DDR History
Dance Dance Revolution originally started out in 1992 as simply "Dance Dance Revoltuion". The game included 9 songs to choose from, low-class menus, and poor BGAnimations. One of the songs in the game, Butterfly, is still a hit in today's Dance Dance Revolution mixes. Eventually after the 1st Mix, there became 2nd-5th Mixes, which included many more songs. Then came the top-hit DDRMAX, and then DDRMAX2, and now you can find Dance Dance Revolution extreme in most arcades. Konami launched this game in Japan, but then after a while, it moved to Konami USA, in North America. You can also find this game for GameCube, PlayStation 1/2, and XboX. There is even a DDR Simulator, StepMania, which is an exact PC/Mac Clone of DDR, which you can find to download on this site!
